Commonwealth Foundation Welcomes Megan Martin as Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel
Harrisburg, PA, December 3, 2024 — The Commonwealth Foundation is proud to announce Megan Martin as its new Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel effective December 2, 2024.
In this new role, Martin will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s mission to enact free-market policies that allow all Pennsylvanians to flourish. She will also provide strategic leadership on legal and regulatory matters.
“Megan brings unparalleled experience and an exceptional track record of organizational leadership, solidly positioning us for our next phase of growth,” said Commonwealth Foundation President and CEO Andrew Lewis.
“Her expertise in state government, legislative process, and legal affairs, combined with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams, makes her an outstanding addition to our leadership team,” he said.
“With Megan in this key role, Commonwealth Foundation is poised to become an even more effective voice advancing free-market policy solutions in Harrisburg,” Lewis said.
Prior to joining the Commonwealth Foundation, Martin was General Counsel for the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry. Her career has spanned all three branches of state government, including serving as Parliamentarian of the Pennsylvania Senate and in key state government positions under two governors. Martin also brings experience as a civilian attorney in the Department of the Navy’s Office of the General Counsel.
