Pamela Armstrong-Pautz Named to City & State PA’s “Fifty Over 50”

Pamela Armstrong-Pautz has worked at the Commonwealth Foundation for only one year. But as the organization’s leading development executive, she has accomplished so much in her short tenure—and she is already earning accolades for it.

City & State Pennsylvania recently recognized Pamela, the organization’s chief advancement officer, for its 2026 “Fifty Over 50.” The recognition lists veteran community leaders whose decades of work have shaped the commonwealth, so she is among good company.

City & State credits the foundation’s recent growth to Pamela, who was promoted for her efforts. In her first year, she rebuilt the organization’s fundraising capabilities, developed a clear revenue plan, and assembled a team—in her words—“ready to grow from $11 million toward $30 million.” She also spearheaded the Keystone Coalition Society, the organization’s first formal donor society in nearly four decades.

Before joining the Commonwealth Foundation, Pamela forged her skills and honed her craft over decades in the nonprofit sector. Most recently, she served as vice president of development at Hope Rises International (formerly American Leprosy Missions), executive director of the North Star Initiative, and CEO of the Integrity Life Foundation.

She also left a tremendous mark on each of these entities. At Hope Rises, she helped launch the country’s first human-trafficking task force.

Her time in the private sector was also formative. As a single mother, she co-founded All American Housing, a manufactured-housing company. There, she grew sales from $400,000 to $4.6 million annually in less than a decade at the helm.

And this isn’t Pamela’s first recognition. She has also received the Lenny Walton Advocacy Award for her work to address homelessness and human trafficking.

Fundraising is often invisible work, but it determines an organization’s health and longevity. And thanks to Pamela’s knack for relationship-building, the Commonwealth Foundation—and Pennsylvania—has a bright future ahead.

“Every gift represents someone’s hopes for their community,” Pamela says.

And there’s plenty to be hopeful about at the Commonwealth Foundation because of Pam’s leadership, generous spirit, and tireless advocacy for Pennsylvanians.
