Abbey joined the Commonwealth Foundation after spending nearly a decade working with lawmakers to advance free-market policies from inside the Pennsylvania State Capitol. As a communications coordinator/manager for the state House of Representatives, Abbey researched and wrote about a wide range of issues including educational opportunity, energy independence, fiscal responsibility, and tax reform. She has traveled professionally throughout Pennsylvania and maintains an extensive network of relationships with media and government leaders.
Abbey is a member of the Public Relations Society of America whose experience includes crisis communications, speech writing, strategic marketing, and media coaching.
